Govt. College Dumariya, Jarhi, Dist-Surajpur, Chhattisgarh,is an undergraduate college offering U.G. programmes in B.Sc., B.A and B.Com.The College was established by order of Chhattisgarh in the year 2013, isaffiliated to “Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya, Sarguja, Ambikapur,Chhattisgarh” is an institute of higher education in Northern Chhattisgarh,which is socially and economically challenged area. Initially, the college wasconducted in old building of Nagar Panchayat from 2013-17. Later in the year2018-19, it was shifted to its present campus. Since then, it has been steppingforward in terms of educational and infrastructural up-gradation that hasempowered it to arise as a fore-runner in academics and other avenues, withinthe rural and economical backward tribal populated region. 

The institution offers extension activities like NSS and Redcross to the students. These extension services develop the personality andcharacter of the students through voluntary community service, thus making themresponsible towards society and nation. Dumariya is a small village in Bhaiyathan block of Surajpurdistrict. It is 30 km away from district headquarter Surajpur and 40 km awayfrom Sarguja divisional headquarter Ambikapur.
